J. Randal Hunter
Mr. Hunter has been practicing family law
in Eastern North Carolina for more than 30
years. Mr. Hunter came to New Bern,
North Carolina, to begin his practice after
completing Wake Forest Law School in
1979. He earned his undergraduate
degree with honors from Davidson College
in 1976. He served as a District Court
Judge in the 3rd Judicial District of North
Carolina, which included Carteret, Craven,
Pamlico and Pitt Counties, from February
of 1984, until December of 1988, returning
to private practice thereafter as his family
grew.
Mr. Hunter is certified by the North
Carolina State Bar as a specialist in Family
Law. Certification means that he is an
expert in the field, having devoted his
practice to family law, having been subject
to extensive peer review and having
passed the Family Law Exam administered
